Neighborhood Bible Time- week 4

Well, this is the last Neighborhood Bible Time this year for Liberty Baptist Church.
Being in the mobile home park for the last 2 weeks has proved to be trying...but God was with us through it all.  Thank you to the McCurry and Knight families for coming down from Harvest (in Manhattan) to help us.  You all were truely a blessing and encouragement!  We had 2 kids stay with us the whole time, then some of us adults walked the park and went door-to-door, inviting those to have some free food.  All in all, we had 30 this week.  We were able to share the Gospel with many, and some said they would try to visit the church.  Praise the Lord!!

Blessings from today:

What a blessing this has all been!  God has been victorious in everything.  We put our faith and trust in Him, and He's always there!  Thank you again to all those who have helped and prayed.  What a blessing you all are to us!

Bounce House Fun Time!!!

On the flyer for Neighborhood Bible Time, we had promised a bounce house for the kids in our apartment complex.  Because of the weather and wet ground, we were unable to do at the time and promised the kids when the weather was nice, we would do it.

So, this past Friday, we kept our promise.  When the kids got off the school bus, there was the bounce house...waiting for them.  They were very excited.  We had about 30 kids come and join in the fun.

Neighborhood Bible Time- week 3

Well, we had another great day.  But Neighborhood Bible Time turned into Neighborhood Lunch Time.  You see,  we had great things planned for the community we were in, but the devil got very worried.

We were set up and ready to go at 10:00 am at a mobile home park- we had great reviews this past week that alot of kids and parents were going to come.  10:30 came and no kids, so we started playing the games with the Underwood family that came to help- we had a BLAST.  11:00, then 11:30- still no kids.  So, we packed things up and started driving.  Pastor kept saying "we have all this food, we need to feed some people."  So we drove around and decided on a neighborhood.

We pulled in and started setting up to feed people.  Word spread quickly.  In about an hour, we fed around 35 people and handed out John/Romans.  We were able to tell them about the church and talk to some about the Lord.  What a very rewarding time we had!  All the people we fed were very gracious and appreciative.  So, maybe it wasn't the planned "Neighborhood Bible Time", but God impressed upon our hearts to not give up- to keep pressing on.  Once again, God prevailed!!  It was God's plan for us to change our plans.

Here are some highlights of a wonderful day:

Even the Pastor gets hungry after all this rewarding work!

Thank you Pastor for your vision for souls.

One more Saturday of Neighborhood Bible Time left!  There is still time for your help and blessings.  It all starts at 10 am!  Thank you to all who have helped and sacrifically gave of your time, talent and treasure.  God Bless you all!

Neighborhood Bible Time- week 2

Once again, God is good!  We had beautiful weather, not too hot.  The sprinklers did come on again, but what fun the kids had running in them, and getting soaked, until they got turned off.  It did rain again last night, so we did not get the bounce house again.  But we all still had a lot of fun.

Thank you to the Payne family (from Junction City) and Sheyenne for traveling down to help.  We couldn't have accomplished as much without you all!  I mentioned a gentleman named Phil last post....he did show up again, and he and Pastor talked- he's taking off work to come to church next Sunday.  Praise the Lord.  Please pray for him and his family.

The parents of the children were very appreciative of what we were doing.  They thanked us.  We were also able to speak to a couple of adults.  Praying God will work in their hearts and they would be compelled to visit Libery Baptist Church soon!

Here are some highlights of today's adventures:

What an amazing time we had.  God sure has blessed!  We will be doing this again the last 2 Saturdays in August...at a Mobile Home Park.  Please be in prayer for God to work in hearts.  Thank you to those who have given and prayed.

First day of Neighborhood Bible Time

Wow!  God sure provided.  What a very exciting time we had.  Thank you to the Lennon Family, Amanda and Sheyenne who traveled from Manhattan (Harvest Baptist Church), and to Amy (from Sedgwick):  What a blessing it was to have you all help us to make this a success.  To God be the Glory!  We had 42, adults and children, in attendance.  A 19 year-old, Aaron, from the apartment complex, along with another man, Phil, also helped out and attended as well.

This day sure had it's "hic-cups".  It rained in the wee early morning hours, so the ground was very saturated.  Then, the sprinklers turned on at start time.  And, the bounce house never came (because of the wet ground from the rain.  But God prevailed.  What an amazing time we had:  (water) games, tug-of-war, relay races.  Everyone had a good time.  We then ate, sang some songs- with Pastor playing the accordian, and had a story from the Bible.

Weather permitting, we will have the bounce house next Saturday, and do it all again.  Praise the Lord, a mom and older daughter asked me at the end where the church was located.  Please be in prayer that we see fruit from this.  God is sooo good- ALL the time!!

Come & Join in the Fun!!!  Another opportunity Saturday, August 13th  @ 10:00am!
